The purpose of an international project between the applicants in this project, is to learn and understand differences in the countries way of working on reducing the CO2 emissions.

The students will gain knowledge in various subjects which they can use in their continued school life. It will strengthen their understanding of different cultures, including foreign languages, social studies, science and sustainability. We need the Nordic and Baltic pupils to not only learn and teachers to not only to teach about climate change in the curriculum, but also feel empowered to act on climate change, both within the school by reducing emissions, and in their home environment. We want to include students to school management, let them to express their opinion and help them to develop their practical and behavioural skills to become better citizens.

After the activities students will know HOW:

*... is teaching and learning process done in schools of others countries;

*... other schools are working to reduce CO2-footprint;

*... to scientifically analyze the eco-friendliness of a organization, community;

*... carbon cycle in nature works;

*... carbon is connected to all living (from chemistry, biology, history etc. lessons);

*... changes in carbon cycle are connected with human activity;

*... to present an idea to school administration (include themselves to school life!);

*... to write and publish articles for local or school newspaper;

*... make school more eco-friendly using examples of CO2-free companies;

*... to represent their country, culture and teach their language;

*... to work together and understand other Nordic, Baltic people;

*... is the aim of the project connected to EU future citizens and pupils;

*... is sustainability described and is it measurable;

*... is sustainability represented in different countries with art, culture, everyday life, school life, streets, history, heritage, media, politics etc;

*... to develop their basic skills for communication and what makes them feel empowered.
